WELCOME TO THE TEUTONIA MÄNNERCHOR

We are so sorry we had to cancel February’s meeting. We will meet in March with the same topic.

Some of the most illuminating pieces of information about our families can come from researching land records. Did you know that the deeds for land in Allegheny County date back to 1788? We will take a look at how to access the information in the deeds and a few examples of how deeds can break down brick walls. Please join us in the Ratskeller at 7:00pm on the 25th.

If you haven’t joined our Google Group, please do so. It is a place for our mini-lesson handouts and a way to communicate with those whom you meet on our Mondays.

All members of the Teutonia Männerchor with an interest in family history are welcomed and encouraged to become part of our Monday evening sessions, even if you have not joined us before. Bring your brick walls, your family trees, a laptop or tablet (optional), enjoy some camaraderie, and a beer or two. You may even meet a cousin!

If there are weather issues, please check your email for an alert as to cancellation or give me a text or call at 315-486-0938 Carole Ashbridge, professional genealogist, will continue presenting some very valuable and informative Pittsburgh resources as well as a way to access newspaper articles to help locate those elusive ancestors.

If you haven’t attended our meetings, but have an interest in learning how start or continue your family research, please join us in the Ratskeller.

Bring your laptop, have a beer and join us for an evening of camaraderie, sharing your successes, and getting some help on those brick walls. There is no charge. If you have any questions about the group, get in touch with Carole or Diane Clawson.
